Investing in America’s Future.
At Roysdon Defense Technologies (RDT), we believe America's technological superiority must be earned through sustained investment, rigorous mathematics, innovative engineering, and an unwavering commitment to our nation's security.
We are a non-traditional defense contractor. We are a research-driven American small business that has invested more than $2 million of our own resources across five foundational technology programs. These investments represent years—and in some cases more than a decade—of algorithm development, software engineering, hardware integration, simulation, field testing, and validation.
For a company of our size, this level of private investment is extraordinary. It reflects a deliberate decision to build proprietary intellectual property and foundational capabilities rather than depend exclusively on commercially available solutions. Our investments span five strategically important technology areas.
AVA — Sovereign, Mission-Focused Artificial Intelligence
Investment: More than $350,000
RDT developed Agentic Virtual Assistant (AVA), a proprietary family of 1-billion, 7-billion, and 20-billion-parameter large language models, pre-trained and fine-tuned using our extensive library of scientific publications, mathematical research, engineering documentation, and software.
Unlike general-purpose conversational AI, AVA is engineered for demanding technical disciplines, including artificial intelligence and machine learning, cybersecurity, cryptanalysis, quantum mathematics, physics, scientific computing, software engineering, and autonomous guidance, navigation, and control.
AVA is designed to operate on RDT's dedicated, air-gapped, in-house GPU infrastructure, enabling advanced AI-assisted engineering and research without depending on external cloud inference services. This architecture supports sensitive intellectual property, controlled technical workflows, and environments where data sovereignty is essential.
AVA models form part of our long-term investment in sovereign, specialized AI infrastructure: tools built to advance American engineering capability while keeping critical technical knowledge under our control.
Mission-Specific Aircraft at the Speed of Innovation
Investment: Approximately $500,000 plus 15 years of development and real-aircraft validation
RDT has invested years developing a proprietary aircraft design and Multidisciplinary Design Optimization suite that integrates aerodynamics, airfoil selection, aircraft planform, structures, propulsion, flight dynamics, and mission-performance requirements into a unified engineering process.
Rather than optimize an aircraft around a single performance parameter, our tools examine the interdependencies among speed, range, endurance, maneuverability, structural loads, payload, propulsion efficiency, manufacturability, and cost. Our goal is direct and consequential: develop resilient, mission-specific, low-observable, low-cost, jet-powered small UAV configurations faster than an adversary can adapt to them.
Developed and refined through extensive engineering work and real-aircraft experience, this suite is designed to dramatically accelerate the transition from mission requirements to optimized aircraft configurations, simulation, prototyping, and flight validation. We believe future conflicts will reward not simply the nation with the most sophisticated aircraft, but the nation capable of designing, adapting, manufacturing, and deploying effective aircraft at unprecedented speed and cost.
Advanced Autonomous Flight Control
Investment: More than $450,000 and 15 years of development and testing
APEX represents RDT's long-term investment in advanced autopilot and autonomous flight-control technology. Built on a foundation of nonlinear control theory, flight dynamics, robust state estimation, and extensive aircraft-development experience, APEX is engineered to provide a flexible flight-control architecture across multiple unmanned aircraft configurations and operating conditions. The system reflects more than fifteen years of algorithm development, software implementation, hardware integration, simulation, and flight testing. Its design incorporates advanced control methods intended to support demanding flight envelopes, changing vehicle dynamics, and mission-specific requirements.
Rather than treat an autopilot as a purchased component, we treat flight control as a strategic core technology—one that we design, understand, refine, and control. APEX embodies our belief that future autonomous aircraft must be developed from first principles, with the mathematical rigor, software ownership, and engineering discipline necessary to adapt rapidly to emerging threats and operational requirements.
Precision Navigation Beyond GPS
Investment: More than $500,000 plus 10 years of development and testing
RDT's Information Correction and Estimation (ICE)-navigation technology represents a major investment in precision positioning, navigation, timing, and resilient sensor fusion. At its mathematical core is a fully nonlinear, sliding-window Bayesian Maximum A Posteriori (MAP) estimation architecture. Unlike conventional recursive navigation filters, this approach jointly optimizes navigation states across a window of measurements, enabling the system to exploit temporal information, resolve measurement inconsistencies, and improve recovery from certain sensor faults and degraded measurements.
ICE-Nav is designed to achieve centimeter-level navigation accuracy under suitable measurement conditions, while also supporting resilient operations when conventional GNSS positioning becomes unreliable or unavailable. By incorporating inertial measurements and alternative Signals of Opportunity (SOP)—including terrestrial RF infrastructure and emerging satellite signals—the architecture is being developed to support navigation in contested and GNSS-denied environments.
Our objective is not simply to build a better GPS receiver. It is to develop a navigation architecture that can intelligently exploit available information, maintain robust state estimates, and adapt to an increasingly contested electromagnetic environment. When GPS becomes unreliable, the environment itself becomes part of the navigation infrastructure.
Advancing the Mathematics of Quantum
Investment: More than $200,000 in foundational mathematical research
Quantum computing and communication presents both an extraordinary scientific opportunity and a profound long-term challenge to national security. RDT is conducting advanced mathematical research into quantum error correction and the computational resources required for fault-tolerant data-integrity in aircraft communications and telemetry.
Building upon published research by Craig Gidney and others at Google Quantum AI, our work extends existing mathematical techniques and investigates new approaches to improving quantum error-correction. In late-2026, our research produced a tenfold improvement in a key error-correction performance measure, driven by fundamental mathematical advances and extensions of existing methods.
This work reflects an important part of RDT's philosophy: meaningful breakthroughs often begin not with larger hardware investments, but with better mathematics. We pursue these advances because the future of quantum computing, cybersecurity, cryptanalysis, and national technological competitiveness will depend on the ability to solve difficult mathematical problems that remain beyond today's conventional engineering methods.
Committed to the National Mission
These five technology programs are not isolated research activities. They represent an integrated investment in the future of American defense technology. Together, these capabilities give RDT something rare for a small business: deep ownership of the underlying mathematics, algorithms, software, and engineering tools that power its systems.
We have committed substantial private capital, years of research, and decades of accumulated engineering expertise to building these capabilities—often before a government contract or customer requirement justified the investment. We do this because we believe American innovation cannot afford to wait. Our nation needs defense technologies that are more adaptable, more affordable, more resilient, and faster to develop than those of our adversaries. Meeting that challenge requires companies willing to invest in difficult problems, challenge conventional approaches, and turn advanced science into practical engineering.
We are a small company making an extraordinary investment in a mission far larger than ourselves. We invest because we believe in American ingenuity. We innovate because technological superiority matters. And we build because America's future is worth defending.
